Importing Media
AirDrop
Send audio files to Stow directly with AirDrop from another Apple device.
Introduction
Use AirDrop to send audio files from a Mac or another Apple device to your iPhone, then import them into Stow using the Files app. AirDrop does not deliver files straight into Stow — the iPhone always routes them through Files first.
Wi-Fi Transfer is still the recommended way to move a library into Stow. AirDrop is best for a handful of tracks.

Steps
- On the sending device, select one or more audio files.
- Tap Share → AirDrop and pick your iPhone.
- On iPhone, choose Save to Files and pick a location (On My iPhone or iCloud Drive).
- Open Stow → Import → Files App and select the files you just saved.
Tips
- Supported types match Stow's normal import rules — MP3, M4A, FLAC, etc.
- For large libraries, use Wi-Fi Transfer instead — it's faster and preserves folders.
Troubleshooting
AirDrop offered "Open in Stow" but nothing imported
iOS handles the share sheet; save to Files first, then import from Files inside Stow.
