Getting Started

Your first import

Add your first tracks to Stow from the Files app in under a minute.

Introduction

Getting audio into Stow takes a minute. The easiest first import is from the Files app — anything already on your iPhone or in iCloud Drive.

Steps

  1. Open Stow and tap Transfers (or LibraryImport).
  2. Tap Import and choose Files.
  3. Browse to your music — tap a folder or select individual files.
  4. Tap Open. Stow copies files into private app storage.
  5. When the import finishes, check Library for your new folder.

Tips

  • You can select multiple files or an entire folder in one go.
  • Imports from a folder detail screen nest under that folder automatically.
  • Stow shows one import summary when a batch finishes — successes, skips, and unsupported files.

Troubleshooting

Stow says “duplicate”
That file is already in the same folder. Delete it from Stow first if you meant to replace it.

Import seems stuck
Very large folders take time. Keep Stow open. Check free storage in iPhone Settings.
