Playback

Resume playback

Pick up exactly where you left off, even after closing the app.

Introduction

Stow remembers where you stopped — especially for long-form audio. Open a track again and pick up where you left off.

How it works

  • Stow saves position automatically as you listen.
  • Short previews (under ~30 seconds) don't count as “resume points.”
  • Near the end of a file, Stow starts fresh next time.

Steps

  1. Listen to part of a podcast, audiobook, or long MP3.
  2. Stop or switch tracks.
  3. Later, play the same track again — playback resumes from your saved position.

Tips

  • Resume is always on — no setting required.
  • Library backup includes resume points (organization data, not audio files).
